When he returned to Iran at the age of 25, he started his career mainly as a composer. Although initially considered a composer, in the latter years of the Pahlavi regime (before the 1979 Islamic Revolution) he released his first album, and has since continued his work as a singer, composer, arranger, and lyricist. In recent years Ghomayshi has explored electronic music as well and, while such experimentation has introduced new elements into his music, the results retain elements of his unique sound.

Platinum-selling singer and producer ARASH stakes his claim as one of the biggest pop music sensations to originate from Sweden, home to such pop pioneers as Abba and Ace of Base. Following the five-year crest of success emphatically spearheaded by the release of his self-titled debut album (andquot;Arash)andquot; in 2005, Arash is ready to parlay his unprecedented musical rise from Malmoe to MTV into a dynamic sophomore album that is sure to ignite the zeal of his super fans and garner the curious ear of millions of new admirers.

Mansour is a contemporaryandnbsp; Persian musical artist.andnbsp; From a new generation of rising singers of the exiledandnbsp; Iranian community based in Southern California, he is now ranked as one of the top male singers of the Iranianandnbsp; music scene.andnbsp; In addition to Iran, he also has a fan base in Afghanistan, Iraq, Tajikistan, Russia and Sweden.andnbsp; Despite the Iranian government's restrictions on pop music, he has nevertheless been able to eclipse other singers in gaining a wide recognition in that country. andnbsp;Equally popular among both men and women, his songs now serve various ceremonial openings of events, due to the lively nature of his music that has engaged and absorbed the youth ofandnbsp; Iran.</greek:bio>

<greek:bio>Band of Horses, the Low Country's premier rock n' roll outfit, will perform at The Greek Theatre on Saturday, September 25 in support of their third full length LP, entitled Infinite Arms.

Produced by Band of Horses with additional production from Phil Ek and recorded over a 16-month period, the songs on Infinite Arms project the essence of the different locales across America that became the setting for the recording and songwriting process behind the album. The rich musical heritage of Muscle Shoals, AL, the sublime beauty of Asheville's Blue Ridge Mountains, the glamorous Hollywood Hills and the vast Mojave desert all influenced the sounds on Infinite Arms and helped yield the group's most focused and dynamic recordings to date. The serene woods of Northern Minnesota and the band's native Carolinas inspired the songwriting, lending the compositions an air of comfort and familiarity.

Band of Horses are Ben Bridwell, Creighton Barrett, Ryan Monroe, Tyler Ramsey and Bill Reynolds. Long time touring members of the group, Infinite Arms marks the recording debut of Ramsey and Reynolds, while Barrett and Monroe graced the last album, Cease to Begin. Through touring together in support of Cease to Begin and during breaks in the Infinite Arms recording process, the band have become a cohesive force with all members making invaluable contributions to the unmistakable sound that founder Bridwell has crafted since the band's inception. As Bridwell himself concedes, "in many ways, this is the first Band of Horses record."</greek:bio>

<greek:bio>GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriters Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs are uniting this summer and fall to tour as "The Dukes of September Rhythm Revue," and will bring their unique show to The Greek Theatre, LA on September 29. The three hit-making artists have assembled a stellar band for the occasion, and will bring the best of their mix of blue-eyed soul, rock, jazz and RandB to the stage in a series of collaborative concerts.

Donald Fagen explains the genesis of the tour, "Back in the early 90s, my wife (Libby Titus) was producing little shows in Manhattan restaurants featuring mostly friends - musicians, comedians and so on. This grew into 'The New York Rock and Soul Revue' which toured nationally for two years and produced an album, Live at the Beacon Theater. The 1993 show featured, among others, Mike McDonald, Boz Scaggs and myself. The shows were such a blast that we decided to tour together again this year as the mighty 'Dukes of September.' We'll be playing the kind of RandB tunes that made us want to be musicians way back when, as well as select numbers from our personal repertoires. We've enlisted a swell group of players and singers - in fact, I'm so excited that I just can't hide it. Be there or be square, chillin'."

Boz Scaggs continues, "This time around, we're going a little farther afield with our trio, but the setlist in progress reflects the basic approach which is: out of the hundreds of songs we've picked out of the hat, what are the gems and how can we fit it all into a two hour show? How about Mike McDonald singing 'Hurt So Bad' by Little Anthony or doing Ray's 'Tell the Truth' or Donald Fagen doing David Ruffin's "My Whole World Ended"? And I might get to do Mink DeVille's 'Cadillac Walk' or some Curtis Mayfield. What I know for sure is that I'll have the best seat in the house."

Michael McDonald states, "The music of Donald Fagen (with Walter Becker) and Boz Scaggs figures heavily in memories of my early years in California. Having the privilege to take the stage with them, two of my all time favorite artists, is one thing; but because they're guys that I've shared such an ongoing history with, this makes it all the more special for me. I only hope it's nearly as much fun for the audience."

With this year's "The Dukes of September Rhythm Revue," Fagen, McDonald and Scaggs are giving fans an unprecedented opportunity to hear them delve deep into their individual classic catalogs of music, along with selected hits and tributes to their influences accompanied by a crack group of top players including Jon Herington (guitar); Freddie Washington (bass); Michael White (drums); Michael Leonhart, Walt Weiskopf and Jay Collins (horns); Jim Beard (organ); plus background singers Carolyn Escoffery and Catherine Russell.</greek:bio>

In addition, the band's first single "Misery," which was released on June 22nd, debuted in the Top 40 and is currently the greatest gainer in Hot AC.

Maroon 5 began writing the songs that appear on Hands All Over after winding down from a world tour in support of their 2007 studio release It Won't Be Soon Before Long. Several months later, the band received a phone call from Lange, who had heard the band were beginning to write a new album, and expressed an interest in producing it. The result is Hands All Over, a monumental record chock full of buoyant, unforgettable melodies. Recorded at Lange's Switzerland studio, the members of Maroon 5 locked themselves in the mountains to patiently craft their latest effort. Starting with the hard-rocking title track, the album's 15 tracks take several intoxicating twists and turns including such compositions as "Out of Goodbyes," a stunning country ballad infused with musical and vocal contributions from Nashville chart-toppers Lady Antebellum. Long-time fans will get a thrill out of the single "Misery," with its funky guitars and high-stepping melody, as well as the propulsive "Stutter," melody rich "Give A Little More" and "Don't Know Much About That," which professes a classic soulful vibe.</greek:bio>

<greek:bio>Widespread Panic announces their much-anticipated fall tour, which stops at The Greek Theatre, LA on Friday, October 22 on the heels of their summer tour and acclaimed studio album.

Following the release of their acclaimed 11th studio album Dirty Side Down (career high Billboard chart debut), Widespread Panic and ATO Records will release the two-disc/three-vinyl set Live In The Classic City II on September 28th. 2010 marks the ten-year anniversary of this monumental three-night run that took place on April 1-3, 2000 at the Classic Center Theater in Athens, Georgia. These recordings are also significant because they mark the first time Widespread Panic asked their fans, who are regularly permitted to record and circulate live performances, to refrain from recording these particular shows. Live in the Classic City II will mark the first time that these performances have been made available, and even heard if you weren't there.

Live in the Classic City II includes special guests Mike Mills (R.E.M.), percussionist Arvin Scott, producer John Keane and vocalists Daniel Hutchens and Anne Richmond Boston. Chosen from the same set of dates, Live In The Classic City I was released in 2002 and went on to sell over 100,000 copies. The collection featured special guests such as Bill Berry (R.E.M.), Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones), Randall Bramblett (Traffic, Steve Winwood), Col. Bruce Hampton, and Derek Trucks (Allman Brothers).</greek:bio>

<greek:bio>NYC's Interpol hits the road this fall on the heels of their fourth, self-titled album in stores September 7. Interpol will perform at The Greek Theatre, LA on Saturday, October 23 with special guest White Rabbits.

Interpol is a name generally associated with international espionage, covert operations, and distant ports of call. Yet since Interpol, the band, swept up listeners with their 2002 Matador debut 'Turn On The Bright Lights,' the moniker has gained new associations as well. Interpol's richly atmospheric music, combined with a striking visual sense, has taken them from small East Village bars to arenas worldwide, without losing the tension and complexity that have made them such an enigmatic, rewarding band. The forthcoming album marks their return to an independent label, Matador, and is perhaps the most imaginative and emotionally resonant album of their career so far.

In the wake of bassist Carlos D's departure from the band following the completion of the new album, Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler and Sam Fogarino have augmented Interpol's touring lineup to include David Pajo (Slint, Papa M, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) on bass and Secret Machines' Brandon Curtis on keyboards. The new quintet will take The Greek Theatre's stage in October.</greek:bio>
