The creator of Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce now brings us Ivan Kane's Cafe Was, a restaurant/piano lounge that blends bohemian/chic design with classic bistro fare, like Steak or Moules frites, Onion Soup au gratin and imported and domestic caviar. The food, cocktails (selected spirits served by the flask) and extensive wine/champagne menu are all designed to complement the atmosphere, creating a culinary and visual feast. California "Fresh" means just that - no additives - fresh. The dough for the pizza crust is prepared daily using fresh yeast and allowed to "proof" (rise). the resulting shell is a true baker's crust. Village Pizzeria uses the best Wisconsin mozzarella available. To insure the quality and freshness of the toppings, we make our own sausage, meatballs, marinara sauce, fresh crushed garlic and clam mixture and pesto according to specific "special" house recipes. We only use fresh cut produce.
