LOS ANGELES, CA (March 7, 2008) – Award winning venues, The Greek Theatre (managed and booked by Nederlander Concerts) and Gibson Amphitheatre (managed and booked by Live Nation) announce their joint 2008 Premiere Marquee Club (PMC) line up. The 2008 PMC season once again brings an outstanding roster of music ranging from Rock to Jazz, Latin to R&B and much more. The program offers over 60 concerts with additional shows being added throughout the year. Anyone can join and there is no membership fee.
The Greek Theatre features Grammy® Award winners
Robert Plant and
Alison Krauss for two nights and the return of
True Colors featuring 80’s icons
Cyndi Lauper and the
B-52’s. Gibson Amphitheatre offers the
MTV Movie Awards, the stand-up comedy of
Carlos Mencia,
Polo Polo and
Katt Williams plus
rock favorites
Chicago will co-headline with the
Doobie Brothers. The
Los Angeles Latin Jazz Festival starring
Eddie Palmieri will kick off The Greek Theatre’s season in May, multiple Grammy® Award winner
Mark Knopfler performs in June and legendary rocker
Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band will play in August. Latin artists are prominently featured at Gibson Amphitheatre with multi-platinum selling male vocalist
Pepe Aguilar,
Ana Gabriel and the ever popular
Vicente Fernández who will perform
for three nights in November. In August, The Greek Theatre welcomes
Melissa Etheridge back to the stage, country sensation
Dolly Parton and two nights of Flamenco legends the
Gipsy Kings.
Gibson Amphitheatre will round out the season with a dose of holiday cheer showcasing
The Brian Setzer Orchestra’s 7th Annual Christmas Extravaganza in December.
Fans may package individual shows to create their own concert series as part of the
Premiere Marquee Club, the Gibson Amphitheatre and The Greek Theatre’s annual subscription program. The program begins
Friday, March 7 (today) with an order deadline of
Tuesday, March 25. This joint subscription program offers preferred seating locations and advance notice of upcoming shows year-round, plus several exclusive discounts and amenities.
